Getting into the groove

We have finally unpacked all of our boxes!! Well, atleast the ones we are going to unpack in this house- the kitchenwares and household yada yada doesn't need to be unpacked until we move into our own place so I don't really count those. What an accomplishment! Between the 2 of us we have belongings in 4 different states that has finally come all together and much has been given away or thrown away as its come out of the box and it feels so good to simplify! I have a lot of clothes from high school that I had completely forgotten I was still holding onto. I'm not going to tell you how much of it still fits, but I love seeing how some things have come back into style :)

We're starting to get settled in and find our little niche here. I'm starting to get settled into my work and learn all the monstrous amount of information that goes into planning cruises for people and haven't decided if I love it or not, but I definitly like it. They've been offereing a lot of overtime and I've been taking it and working like crazy to take advantage of it. Hoping to make some mo bucks to put towards casa de Ashcraft hopefully some time soon.

Seth is staying busy job hunting and trying to set himself up to take on freelance graphic design work (having a computer stolen a little while ago put a delay in that recently.) Its rough going when it comes to job searching in the Phoenix area (there were 1200 applicants for the 10 job openings at NCL when I was hired) so Seth has made it his job to find a job and we're keeping our hopes and our prayers up that something comes around. We've learned that all we can do is keep trying work hard at what we can do and enjoy it all.

Seth has also turned into a 'honey do' list extraordinaire and I love it! I have my own full time handyman/cleaning guy/mover. I look at it like its perk #79 of unemployment! Yay for wife-support! Love my honey.

Now that we're unpacked and getting settled in, we're trying to get settled into the community and get familiar. We like the city so far and the heat isn't really bothering us that much. Its 115 out today and its not something you want to stay out and active in for very long, but the evenings/mornings are nice and we have a pool to cool off in when we reaching boiling point. With how much we like the city, we may turn to loving it once it cools down a little.
