Some like it hot.....

We made the leap and moved to the Phoenix, AZ area a few weeks ago. Having never been here before (well, except for a short layover in Phoenix a few years back) it has been quite the adventure.
The house in Mesa isn't ready to move in yet so we've been crashin with Dad in his furnished condo for the time being. Posh furnishings, wireless connection, cable tv and a pool just outside the back door....its been rough :)
Seth and I have been finding jobs our jobs and roking like crazy get some leads and interviews. I feel like half of Phoenix has my resume by now and the other half has Seth's.
We broke up the routine by taking a quick day trip to the Grand Canyon with my Mom and Aunt and even took a long weekend trip to LA for a friend's wedding which was really fun! We had planned to stay in LA for a little longer than just a long weekend, but I got a couple calls from some people that I had sent my resume to and they wanted interviews so we came back to AZ early. Well it paid off!! After a couple interviews I was offered a job with Norwegian Cruise Line as a vacation planner in their Mesa office! I'm excited! Its the same fun cruise line business I've been doing for a few years now, but in a year-round, better paying with benefits version! I start in a couple weeks. We're so excited to have one job in place with some steady income. Seth is still on the prowl for a job, but he's got an interview this afternoon and we've got a while before we'll start worrying. My job coming along so early was unexpected and we just caught it right at the best moment.
We're liking AZ so far. There's definitly some heat here, but there really is something to the whole dry heat idea. We'll see if I still have the same opinion in a few months :)
