We moved to ArIzOnA!!!

We moved to ArIzOnA!!! Its hot.
We left St George yesterday morning all ready and rearin to take AZ by storm. We made it to Las Vegas and were just about to leave the edge of town through Henderson when my car started acting funny. Felt like it was slugging along and wanted to die. Oh no!! We were about to leave the edge of town and head out into hours of desert so I turned around, GPSed a mechanic and prayed my car wouldn't die before we could make it there. The really nice mechanic drove it around for a minute, hooked some little measure thingy up to it and said the gas pump had called it quits.

I was instantly happy that it wasn't my transmission or something (my beast has about 127,000 miles under its belt.) The happiness grew when the mechanic said he could work on it right away and it would take about 3 hours. The happiness fell flat on its face when he said the bill would be about $600. What?! I had no idea that replacing one little wirey thingy took 3 hours to change (apparently you have to take the gas tank off to get to it) and that that little thingy cost over $300!! I made some calls (thanks Mom et al) and found out the bill was legit and actually a bit lower than other shops in town.

We killed time by having a delightfully romantic flourescent light bulb lit lunch date in the local Del Taco. Seth knows the way to my heart- churros :) We still had quite of bit of time left so we drove to 'the strip' on Las Vegas Boulevard and walked around for a while. Saw some freaky stuff and got our Vegas fill.

We got the call that the car was fixed and we were back on the road. We made a quick stop at the Hoover dam just outside of Vegas. Exne if you have a fear of hightse.

Then we drove. Across the desert. In the dark. Wow that is a boring drive. We finally rolled in at 11:30 or so and now we're here! Living in the condo my Dad's been living in since he started work here until the furniture arrives next month. Then we'll move into the sweet house my parents found. We'll be the newlywed basement dwellers :) We are loving the new adventure!
